What is a Gel Enhancement?

 

A gel enhancement will increase the length and give strength to your natural nail.

With this method the nail technician will either sculpt a nail over a nail form or simply paint the gel onto a nail and tip. The gel is then cured under a UV lamp.

The flexibility of the Gel and the thinner application gives a better hold on to the natural nail with less risk of lifting. Gel strengthening can be painted on to the natural nails or tips in much the same way as nail polish.

Although gel is not as strong as acrylic, it is more water friendly, and would suit hairdressers, housewives or swimmers, who are in and out of water.

 

Gels are available in a wide variety of colours that look like nail polish when carefully applied.

Coloured gels are also an ideal base for nail art. 

 

As with other methods, correct care, gentle handling and avoiding harsh treatment is advised.

 

Maintenance is required every 2 - 3 weeks.
