The acrylic technique has been used for many years. It uses a liquid and powder that are mixed together to form a quick setting material, which can be moulded into shape.

The material may be overlaid onto the natural nail or extended over a tip for extra length.

Correctly sculptured acrylic nails are strong, but pliable and should have a thin natural looking tip.

For special effects a wide variety of coloured and sparkling powders are available. Completely clear nails can show off nail art to its best.

Maintenance is required every 2 - 3 weeks with infills to the new nail growth.
